Brazilian physician and healthcare executive. Trained as a transplant surgeon at PUCRS in Porto Alegre, he led the kidney and pancreas transplant program at Hospital São Lucas — over 300 kidney and 78 pancreas transplants — before transitioning to healthcare management. He directed Unimed Porto Alegre's network serving 600,000 patients and authored Patient Safety: The True Healthcare Revolution. In 2019 he founded SAFETY4ME and moved to Carlsbad, California, where he completed a post-doctorate at SDSU. Board Certified as a Medical Affairs Specialist with deep expertise in patient safety, value-based care, and doctor relationships, he leads Samba Trials' consulting practice — connecting biotech sponsors to Brazilian research centers and advising on site feasibility, ANVISA strategy, and medical-affairs operations.
